Watched Three Men and a Baby last night. It was a wonderfully hilarious movie, with three clueless men slowly figuring out how to deal with a baby.
'You pick her up.'
'I'm not picking her up.'
'Well someone has to.'
'It's not going to be me.'
It's even better when you consider that one of these muscular, manly men has just finished a grueling workout.

Day after Thanksgiving and I'm feeling good. I tried a Graple the other day and it was awful. It was supposed to be a combination of a grape and an apple. It looked like an apple, and tasted like grape cold medicine. Yuck.

Went over to the Walkers for dinner and had turkey that was cooked by lowering it into oil that was boiling at 350 degrees and leaving it there for 30 minutes. It was actually really good, if a little crispy.

Man, I really haven't used this journal at all, have I?
Well, I'm probably not going to change, but it's a good thing to have for when I want to write down random things to remember.

We made Christmas cards again this year. This time we ended up making little cubes that will work as Christmas tree ornaments when people tape them together. They're really cute, and all Jessica's idea. Go Jess!

So I grabbed my little sister (I call her Squishy) the other day and hugged her as tightly as I could until she told me I'd killed her and then started tickling her and she made up this cute little poem/chant/ thing. It sounds really neat when you say it, I swear:

One day, I died.
And the grass grew tall and it tickled.
And I laughed
And I laughed
And I laughed
And I laughed
And I laughed

Repeat ad infinatum.

On another note, for some reason my father feels the need to give me 'Pre-Moistened Lens Cleaning Tissue'. Does he think my glasses are that dirty? Does he think I'll ever actually get around to using it? Whatever.

Was just thinking and realized how weird my thoughts would sound to anyone not in my family.
I was walking upstairs with the laundry I had just finished and thinking rather smugly how much more fun I was having than my family in the living room watching a movie. I think I'm strange.

It's 3:00 on Christmas Day and we just finished opening
presents! I feel as though I'm on sugar high, but I've only had one
chocolate and a piece of fudge, so it must just be the excitement
going to my head. I was thinking that although I do like getting
presents my favorite part of the present
opening we do is the hugging. Do you remember our rule that before we
open someone's present we have to give them a hug? Well, we tend to be
pretty enthusiastic about that - enough so that the giver usually gets
hugged both before and after their present is opened. I think that
even I have had enough hugs to last me for a while, and I am as
voracious a hugger as I am a reader. Andrew was our 'Santa' today by
majority vote, so it was great fun watching him put on the Santa hat
that Beth gave to Dad a few years ago now and hunt under the tree for
presents before declaiming in a loud voice about the giver and
receiver. He's a wonderful bother, and so very funny! I love the way
that he always tries to make everyone as happy as he can.

No snow for Christmas this year, but we're all happy enough that it
really doesn't seem to make a difference what the weather outside is
like. Inside it's lovely and warm and we're with family. I hope that
you Christmas was half as enjoyable as ours has been so far - and it's
only half-done! We've still got the students who are coming over for a
wonderful Christmas dinner.
